The guild organizes a slew of different events along the year, both by themselves and with other associations, to uphold student culture in Oulu.

Night of Singing and Wine

An event focused on Teekkari song culture, arranged together with Prosessikilta and OPTIEM ry. Teekkari associations produce wines for this event, which then compete with each other.

PYRO-Kyykkä

A kyykkä event set up together with Prosessikilta, open to all students and teachers of process and environmental engineering.

FauxWappu

A bar night event with OPTIEM with a Wappu theme, naturally.

Drunkard crawl

A "pub crawl" out in nature arranged with SIK, themed after heavily drinking bums. Participants bring their own drinks and empty them at checkpoints.

Environment Information summer day

A summery meeting with the guild of Computer Science and Engineering, Oulun Tietoteekkarit ry. Along the day our sauna moves to the chosen destination, usually the beach in Tuira.

AkateemisetAlkajaiset

OPTIEM ry and YRK celebrate the beginning of the school year. This is a great opportunity for any new students to dive into the recesses of student life.

Annual celebration

Every five years we celebrate in a big fashion with an annual party. On even years this celebration is called "Lempparit" and odd years it is known as "Lempiäiset". Our guild turned 60 years old in 2019.
